Battlefield 3 is a PC computer game expected to release late in 2008. It is about a fictional modern day war between NATO and the Middle Eastern Coalition. Most of the game will be focused on urban warfare.
Online GamePlay
Battlefield 3 will keep the same online gameplay as Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. Players will get more weapons and better stats with more gaming experience. Unlike the last games, however, the player may customize their soldier’s appearance. This may include badges, tattoos, faces, and possibly more.
Accessories, Firearms and Classes
Each faction will have 17 weapons, making a total of 34 selectable weapons. Battlefield 3 will also keep the previous classes from the past games: Sniper, Assault, Engineer, Medic and Support. New concepts, such as armor, helmets, camouflage, and accessories have been introduced in the game. As mentioned above in the online gameplay segment, the player must gain experience before they can use all of the weapons. There will be a total of 22 unlocks available.
Commanders & Soldiers
Like the previous battlefield games, a team has a commander to drop supplies to soldiers on the frontier and order artillery strikes on enemy positions. Squads will still be present. A new features is that three or four squads may pair up to form a Battalion.
Miscellaneous Features
Other miscellaneous features include a VoIP, an instant messaging client, a built-in software updater (suggesting that there will be no more patches), extensive clan support, and an in-game replay feature.
