Three GameSpy editors had the chance to jump in the Battlefield Heroes beta and give their thoughts on the game so far. Check out the roundtable discussion below.

Despite how manicured its look and feel may be, Heroes totally feels like a work in progress. There are two maps in the beta right now, but 99 percent of the matches I’ve played have been on Seaside Skirmish, which has been the set of all of the preview demos I’ve sat in on. It’s nice and expansive, but during specific instances, some really frustrating stuff will emerge -- I can remember a couple of occasions where my team’s default respawn point was completely devoid of any vehicles. Meanwhile, the battle raged on at the next point over, a wide-open field away. I felt like a sitting duck for sniping Commandos.

Which makes me think, maybe Gabe should learn to snipe and put away that silly knife?

Bryn: Despite the "casual" incentive that Heroes will ultimately offer, I’m getting railed right now by beta testers that have obviously unlocked some sweet gear (and comedy outfits). Speaking of unlocks, the game’s mission system is nice and straightforward. You can opt to work on three different missions at any one time, and you’ll be rewarded with ability points for your troubles. Read the Rest...
