1UP posted a new Battlefield Heroes hands-on preview giving it a somewhat harsh review.
RM: The bulls*** isn’t a deal breaker only because we are the hardcore. We know what to expect from Battlefield, and running into an unstoppable terminator is more nuisance than match-ruining headache. After all, we adapted to BF2’s broken Blackhawk and came up with so many ways to abuse the MEC chopper that we still know the stupid names we gave our operations. Why would a newcomer who encounters the Tonka Tough tank think that this is a game they want to keep playing?
Who is Heroes’ target audience? I know I’m not -- while it’s certainly a fun game, many of the changes DICE have made are downright blasphemous to my Battlefield sensibilities. If I see one more plane flop across a wheat field like an Air Hog with a dying battery, I’m going to pull my Ethernet cable. Read the Rest...
