Welcome to todays Crymod news and an exciting update by forum member Solstyce on his Battlestar Galactica model. The author has recently been working with the CryEngine2 lighting system to test both its capabilities and its suitability for the many applications required to light the ship. In todays update we will be showcasing some of the creators usage and screen shots of it in action.
Battlestar Galactica Mod For Crysis
Currently running on the Homeworld2 engine Solstyce and his team at Battlestar Galactica Fleet Commander are considering making a move to CryEngine2 to complete their modification. They are currently testing many of their exported assets to decide if the Crysis engine would be a more sutiable system for them and so in the meantime we are very pleased to showcase their work and hope that they will decide to make the change.
WIP Model - Battlestar Galactica
The current model that the team are showcasing is the Battlestar Galactica, one of the most featured vessels in the series and a giant at that, measuring in at a staggering 1265 meters long. The author is planning to make the entire ship pilotable and is also hoping to make the weapon systems useable. The team also want to allow the player to launch Viper class attack fighters from the ship.
