When can I play Battlefield Heroes?

Battlefield Heroes is scheduled to be available for free download during the summer of ‘08. We’ll be running a beta program prior to this.

How will I get Battlefield Heroes?

There are three easy steps to getting Battlefield Heroes once it’s available:

  1. Register on the Battlefield Heroes website
  2. Click the “Play Now” button to launch the Heroes Updater
  3. Wait while the Heroes Updater downloads, installs, and launches the game

That’s it! You can take a moment to customize your Hero or jump right into battle!

What are the different factions in Battlefield Heroes?

Battlefield Heroes will offer two different factions: The National Army and The Royal Army.

What are the different Classes in Battlefield Heroes?

Battlefield Heroes will offer three different Classes:

  1. The Soldier. A balanced fighting character who focuses on leadership and healing abilities.
  2. The Gunner. A big weapons character who focuses on taking and dishing out lots of damage.
  3. The Commando. A sneaky character who focuses on suprise attacks from both long range and close quarters.

What is an Ability?

An ability is a special skill that your Hero can use in order to gain a temporary advantage. The abilities are class specific and can be levelled up individually. Players can choose which abilities they want to bring into battle.

A good example is the Gunner’s “Hero’s Shield” ability – when activated, for a short time the player may absorb more damage.

How will new content be added to Battlefield Heroes?

New content such as maps, weapons and clothing items will be added continuously throughout Battlefield Heroes lifetime. The content we create will be heavily driven by community feedback. When new content is available it will be automatically downloaded when you launch the game.
