If you haven’t already been checking out IGN’s continuing coverage of Red Faction: Guerrilla, then you’ve missed out on a lot of detailed information covering the single player campaign, and now, a portion of the multiplayer side. Lucky IGN Insider subscribers will get a one month preview of Red Faction: Guerrilla with the launch of THQ’s Xbox 360 exclusive beta this Friday.

Along with that, they have details on what to expect from the upcoming beta test which include weapons, backpacks, and modes of play. They’ve also included five action-packed videos from some of their time participating earlier which you can watch below or at their link.

“The best weapon in the beta? That would have to be the sledgehammer. An excellent tool for knocking down walls, the sledgehammer can also brain just about anyone. I’ve often found it a little ridiculous that enemies can take a dozen bullets, but a gun butt to the noggin kills them. So I was happy to see that Red Faction doesn’t tiptoe around melee attacks. You crack someone’s head with a sledgehammer, they should stay down.”
