Stargate: Legacy October ’08 Update I don’t know about anyone else here, but I love Sci Fi movies and shows that pit modern day weaponry and technology against aliens and their obviously-superior technology. Following this logic, the leading candidate for my prime-time viewing is obviously the Stargate and Battlestar Galactica series. However, I also love videogames. Unfortunately, while it doesn’t look like I’ll be blasting Cylons with vaguely-Earthlike weaponry for a while, these guys seem to have the Stargate spectrum under control.

LittleBigPortal? For those of you unaware of its existence, LittleBigPlanet is a PS3-exclusive title that allows you to create your own physics-based games within a huge online community (sort of like Garry’s Mod, except platform-based), and is being developed by Media Molecule. MM has revealed that they were, prior to LittleBigPlanet, developing a game described as "more Portally than Portal" and "Portal, but with scale factor." The developers had even met with Valve Software who had suggested they develop a Portal game together.
Five Mods Coming to Steam In an effort to further support the thriving Half-Life 2 mod community, Valve has invited five of the top mods to the Steam platform and will be available in the same way Steam games are.
Steam Client Update Released An update for the Steam client has just been launched. The changes are as follows:
HL2: The Unofficial Portal Prequel While Valve is making an official prequel to Portal (as they had announced a few months ago), a small group of developers (that originally started as a single person making strong headway) have been working on Portal: Prelude.
